All the hikers but one

Here’s Johnny!

The hike begins from parking lot to trailhead

The Dosewallips River was running high

Sam and Sarah look like they are enjoying the hike

Salmon cycle – begin as eggs – go to sea as small fry

Swim the sea becoming bigger fish

When big enough return to a river

Lay eggs and die

Beautiful Roadies on the way to the trailhead

There were other beautiful flowers -- Nootka Rose

We reach the Maple Valley trailhead

A side channel of the Dosewallips River by the trail

I like the color contrast between moss and mushrooms

A living tree 10 feet off the ground with roots surrounding a stump

Pretty flower -- Herb Robert flower

One of several bridges we crossed

Wild Rhodies growing along the trail

We finished the Maple Valley trail and begin the Steam Donkey trail

Looks like a bridge troll caught Merrily – my mistake that’s Denny

A little waterfall that sounded nice

More bridges but no trolls

More Rhodies along the way

Rhody close-up

A leftover Maple leaf

A pretty leaf with water droplets

A pretty little flower -- Plantain-leaf Buttercup

This looks like a tree line on a hilltop

Another pretty flower -- Herb Robert flower

A different pretty flower -- Bleeding Heart

The story behind the Steam Donkey Loop Trail

We finished the Steam Donkey Trail and begin the Rhody Cut-off Trail

The last bridge

One mixed up tree-- it couldn’t figure out which way is up

The Rhodies along the way back to the parking lot
That's all folks!
