All the hikers but one

Here’s Johnny!

Our hike through the woods begins

One of many flowers we saw -- Howell’s fleabane

These flowers were all along the way -- Western Bunchberry

Western Bunchberry close up

Denny and Sarah our hike leaders

The Dungeness River was really running high

We did see some wildlife along the way

Not a good place to slip

We had good views of the river from the bridge

Going to seed

A pretty mushroom on the trail

The river was really raging

The river is very near the trail in many places

This tree couldn’t figure out which way is up

Beautiful flower along the trail -- Broadleaf Lupine

One of two bridges we crossed

Max poses while Marie laughs

In places the trail is very near the river

Another pretty flower -- Maximilian sunflower

Going down is ok, but we have to come back up the same trail

I like the water droplets on the peddles -- Shrubby Cinquefoil

We make it to Camp Handy our turnaround point

Now that’s some happy hikers

All the ducks in a row

The rest of the hikers

Flowers at the turnaround spot -- Sitka Valerian

Going to seed -- not sure flower type

There were a few Rhododendrons in bloom

Very delicate small flower -- foamflower

Denny and Merrily pause to admire the river

The other bridge we crossed

On our way back to the trailhead parking lot

Denny, Sarah and Sharlene enjoy the view from the bridge

Our last view of the river before we reach the trailhead parking lot
That's all folks!
