All the hikers are ready to go
The hike begins
The trail was muddy in places and it was raining
The trail got wider as we went along and not so wet
The trail was well marked and easy to follow
From this point on most of the trail was firebreak roads
We took a small side trip to Dickerson Creek Waterfall
There is a nice bridge over the creek at the top of the waterfall
Looking down the waterfall from the bridge
A side view of the waterfall from the bridge
Dickerson Creek upstream from the waterfall
The trail down to the base of the waterfall is steep
Ken, Don and Merrily got an up-close view of the waterfall
Dewey also got an up-close view of the waterfall
A view of the creek below the waterfall
Jack made me promise I wouldn’t call him Mary Poppins
Bill thinks there is nothing like a walk in the rain
Jack to Bill: If you had an umbrella like me you wouldn’t be so wet
Don and Ken: wet but happy
Wet or not, Merrily is always smiling
Does my poop bag count?
Pileated Woodpecker: I didn’t see one, but I’m told they visit the park often
Because of the rain and clouds, we didn’t make it to Zack’s Lookout
View from Zack’s Lookout
That's all folks!
