All the hikers but one

Here’s Johnny!

Darlene our Miller Peninsula State Park expert

We hiked from “You are here” to the end of the Beach Trail

The hike begins

One of the pretty flowers along the trail

Even I know the name of this one -- Foxglove

The trail is wide and well maintained

Sharlene looks happy

Richard looks like he is on a mission and Bill looks happy

Talking about two happy hikers here they are: Merrily & Tieta

There is lots of Salal with pink bell-shaped flowers

The Rhodies were mostly gone but there were a few still around

Bracket and mushroom fungi add color to the green forest

I like the different shapes and colors of the bracket fungi

I think this is a Blue gilia – maybe? It’s pretty anyway

Scentless mayweed Aster Family

Another of the few Rhodies still blooming

We walked through fields of flowers

Oxeye daisy

Bill and Jack tiptoeing through the Daisies

Speaking of tiptoeing through the Daisies look at Tieta and Sharlene

This tree really doesn’t like cable

An interesting shaped mushroom

Looks like a flying saucer ran into a tree

I like the shapes

Bracket fungi hidden under a log

We made it to our turnaround point by the sea

Protection Island with San Juan Islands background left

The girls enjoying some snacks

The guys are also enjoying some snacks

Merrily and Gary enjoy their snacks

Denny, Sharlene, Sarah and Richard all look happy

Andy and Sam munch away

Two of our new hikers

Two more of our new hikers

Bill always looks happy

Things you see along the trail

On our way back to the trailhead

Our last little Bracket fungi – I like the color

Our last stretch before we return to the trailhead
That's all folks!
